After Lesson #11, you’ll have A,A7, Am, Bb, B7, C, C7, D, D7, Dm, E7, Em, G, G dim, G7.
Piney Wood Hills has a G dim (aka: G dim 7, G° ) which we’ll learn and also practice a waltz strum for Piney. We’ll spend some time exercising the change from G to Em using our pinky as an option for this chord change. Other diminished chords will be introduced in a couple of weeks or so.
Another new chord for today: E7; so download She’ll Be Comin’ Round The Mountain and Sway to learn E7. Sway is a mambo, but the same calypso strum introduced a couple weeks ago: D, D-U, U-D-U can be used in that song. There’s a melody to play on the A string for Sway, so this song can also be as an intro to tablature. Please download Tabs for Sway: Verse Melody from the Music Archives.
