Here’s the Two Chord Songs!
By end of Lesson #12, chords intro’d: A, A7, Am, Bb, B7, C, C7, D, D7, Dm, E7, Em, F, F7, G, G7. Keys intro’d: C (C, F, G/G7, Am) F (F, Bb, C/C7 Dm) G (G, C, D/D7, Em) Strums: single, double, Chattanooga, Calypso.
Last week: Besides practicing all those intro’d chords, plus chords in three keys, we talked a bit about what makes up a key anyway: the first, fourth, and fifth notes in any scale, with the 6th note in any scale being the relative minor (example in the key of C: C D E F G Am B C)
And, E7 was intro’d, enabling you to now play Achy Breaky Heart at line dances. Useful!!
This week, another slap method chord, F7. F7 is similar in shape to E7, so might as well introduce it, both are oft-used chords. Please download Istanbul (Not Constantinople) and Freight Train for practicing these chords. The Calypso strum will be introduced, so also have
Come Back Lisa on hand.
