Newk Lesson #20, March 17, 2016

Our final lesson, but please let me know by email (zuke.uke@gmail.com)  if you would like to stay on the link for the lessons beginning April 21st.  You are welcomed to retake the class, or come for whatever lesson is of interest to you.  It’s been a pleasure to meet with all of you; I sure hope you continue ukuleleing at the jams, uke festivals, take lessons with others, especially Gail up in Bellingham (Book One James Hill Method beginning in September, see CALENDAR for more info. .)

This lesson will be a review of Chattanooga, Reggae, Touch Down, Calypso, Chunking. We’ll look at these songs and determine which strum is useful for each song. There is oftentimes more than one choice, of course!  Have with you:  Whiskey In The Jar, Unicorn, The; Wild Rover, The; Come Back Liza, Marianne, Three Little Birds, Kansas City, Act Naturally, Bottle of Wine; Chords Up The Neck that you had with you two lessons ago, that I forgot to go over; Blues, Stay Away From Me.  That last song, we’ll review the up the neck versions of C7 and G7, to review closed chords and  chunking (that’s where Chords Up The Neck worksheet will come in handy).
